Greetings, all. I know it's been a long time since my last update, but life has been pretty hectic of late. I'm involved in a big project at work and it's been taking up a lot of my time. I had trouble sleeping much of last week as well (the ever popular waking up every 20-30 minutes for four nights in a row), and that left me feeling pretty run down. As a result, I ended up taking last week off from the workout regimen.
On the bright side, the week of rest and the excitement surrounding the taping of Sasuke 19 on Sunday really have me stoked up, again. I was raring to hit the gym today and had a brisk, intense arm workout and a good cardio session. I'm ready to hit the ground running tomorrow as well, particularly after getting the news tonight that I will be receiving an autographed poster of Makoto Nagano! Many thanks to Jeannie and Cuteyhoney from Konpiramaster's Nagano fansite for making this possible!
You may also have noticed that no progress pictures went up on 9-1 as promised. My wife took the pics using my T-Mobile Dash smartphone, but the quality came out very bad. I'm currently working on a replacement camera, and I hope to have round one of the pics up in a couple of weeks.
As usual, thanks for everyone's support!
Chris

Hey- sometimes we all need a break to recharge. I usually take mine on the weekends. The workouts are great but you also need to get your rest.
Hi C,
Sorry to hear about your week. I too have been having sleeping problems, and my workouts as a result have been just so-so. Today, for instance, I had to cut my cardio time in half. It's not a good feeling, but I guess we all have to do it sometimes.
Cuteyhoney is so awesome for getting those posters for us. Hope she didn't have to stick a gun to Nagano-san's head! Ha ha! Nah, I'm sure he was happy to do it. We are so blessed. When I get my poster, it is going right up on the wall. It will be my "get-my-rear-in-the-gym" inspirational poster.
Take care of yourself! Talk to you soon.
To top it all off, I now appear to be getting sick. Sinus infection or upper respiratory of some sort. This just isn't my month, so far.

How are you feeling, C? Hope you're all better.
Jeannie, thanks for asking! I'm doing better now, although I was sidelined last week (I missed two days of work out sick), so I ended up taking most of two weeks off from training instead of just the one I planned. I'm feeling the time away in the gym (I started my full routine again, yesterday). My lifts are down a bit and my stamina isn't quite where it needs to be. I'm sure I'll be back to normal in a few days.
How did I manage to miss that you were also training for Sasuke? I don't know how I managed that!

That's ok. In reality, Sasuke is really just a far off dream. I do hope it comes true some day though. My fear is that when I'll be ready, the show will be cancelled.
P.S. Take care of yourself, ok? Hope you feel better very soon.
Chris Hope you are feeling better. Had to take some time off myself for a pinched nerve, but getting going again. By the way I will be in Flower Mound the end of October. If you don't have a camera yet, we could meet and I'll snap a few. It would be fun to meet anyway. Let me know.
That sounds great, pamwax! It would be nice to be able to put a face to name. Sorry to hear you pinched nerve. I've heard that can be pretty painful.
I considered outright buying a digital camera, but I don't think I can spare the funds just now, as I'm trying to hold onto everything I can manage to be able to afford the trip in March (assuming I'm chosen). I'm going to pick up a disposable camera with regular old film to use for progress shots at the end of this month.
Jeannie, I echo your fears. My greatest fear is that I'll spend all this time getting prepared, but will never be chosen to compete.
C-
Hey, i'm excited for you. Mt. Midoriama awaits you! With this hard work you will succeed. I am also hoping to compete in the tournament, but realisticly, the 21st. I have searched but have yet to get any leads on qualifying or registration. does anyone know how to become a contestant. thanks in advance! you will make my year if you do!
